Amy L Close, LMHC and Luiza Perez-Ortiz, Mental Health Counseling Intern, will provide a general overview of eating disorders. Amy and Luiza will provide psychoeducation about eating disorders specifically related to school staff and students as well as "Do's and Don'ts" while supporting individuals with an eating disorder. Other topics to be discussed include, Myths/Facts about Eating Disorders, appropriate language to use and how to support students struggling with a diagnosed eating disorder or general disordered eating patterns.
