As our community continues to grow in more diverse ways, we want to make sure that our students and families feel heard and understood, and that our staff are well educated on the cultures of the students/families they work with. We have many Jewish and Jew-ish students and families throughout the district. During this session you will learn about Jewish culture and traditions, ways to support your Jewish students, and helpful resources from Jewish Buffalo. You will also learn how to create a culture in your classroom that is inclusive of all students regardless of their culture and/or religion.
This course will explain the difference between 504 plans & IEPs, go over parts of a 504 plan, discuss common accommodations and review how 504 plans work at CMS. FAQs will be addressed and there will be time for teachers to look at 504 plans for 2024-25 school year.
